Of all the animals in Richard Steiff's household, a rabbit named Henry Fancy Daisy occupied a very special place. He belonged to Richard's only child Marianne, the little girl who gave the bunny his name. The rabbit's choice for sleeping quarters was under the grand piano that Richard and his wife played. When this bunny liked the music, he would get up and dance. In tribute to this beloved pet, we've created a beautiful rabbit based on a model that appeared in the Steiff range from 1914-1924. True to the original, this bunny features pink and red pupil eyes, a vintage style Steiff imprinted ribbon with a bell around her neck, and a genuine hug-me voice. Ages 6 and up, detachable small parts which could be swallowed. The glass eyes are breakable.

The origins of Peter Rabbit and his siblings are as moving as the stories themselves. In 1893, Beatrix Potter wanted to cheer up the sick child of her former governess and sent him a very touching illustrated letter, describing the adventures of Peter Rabbit for the first time. Some ten years later, these poignant adventures were published as a children's book and have since been read millions of times to small children all over the world. This mohair Peter Rabbit is almost 8 inches tall and is made of surface washable alpaca. Part of the 2007 Steiff Worldwide Collection.
