Classic Teddy Bears

Penelope is a wonderful example of the playful and colorful designs Steiff produced during "The Roaring 20's". During this time, Steiff Teddies were constant companions of both children and adults all across Europe. In honor of these early loyal Teddy companions, Steiff is pleased to present Penelope as one of the American Heritage Series North American Limited Editions for 2005. The design of this bear is based on a one-of-a-kind Teddy found in the collection of the Greenwood family from New York. Penelope is 16 inches, fully jointed, and made from the most delightful lush pink mohair imaginable. She has beautiful hand embroidered details and a coquettish expression, all adding to her distinctly feminine charm.
