Classic Teddy Bears

Have you ever considered what is truly typical for a Teddy bear and just what makes him so special? Whether in classic brown or other unusual colours, materials and patterns or whether it is clothed. Whether large or small - we always immediately recognize the Teddy bear as such. That is because of his friendly, open nature and his characteristic body shape: slightly stocky; with a pronounced clipped snout; a round, cuddly tummy; friendly, smiling eyes; and his wide, outstretched arms that are always ready for a happy, affectionate hug. That is exactly what makes this friendly Teddy bear, "Leopard", a classic ambassador of the Teddy bear species - even though at first sight he might look as if he just escaped from the jungle, his beautiful, leopard-like patterned fur looks so perfectly "real". The Teddy bear "Leopard" is 40 centimeters tall and delights Steiff friends with his endearing nature, his soft fur made of high-quality alpaca that was painted by hand with the typical leopard pattern, as well as his deep, growling voice. His delicate nose and his mouth are hand-sewn and his silent paws are made of felted wool. This Teddy bear "Leopard" is the first of three unmistakable bear representatives that were created by the artist, Peter Lorenz, from Leverkusen on the occasion of the 2005 Teddy Bear Parade in Giengen. The original was 1.2 meters high and made of fiber-glass synthetic material. Look forward to meeting Teddy bear "Leopard's" friends - Teddy bear "Tiger" and Teddy bear "Zebra" that will soon follow in the Steiff footsteps (or paw prints) of the lovable Teddy bear 'Leopard".
